In conjunction with the exhibition All of this and nothing (2011).
In November, 2010 we visit Charles Gaines in his studio to discuss his work in the exhibition All of this and nothing, the Manifestos. Gaines has been described as "one of the first, if not the first, African American, to work in the field of conceptual art." He is interested in how one experiences art and derives meaningfrom it. He focuses on the internal politics that form our ideas and feelings toward art, expressedthrough linguistic tools such as metaphors and metonyms.
