Belgian artist Johan Grimonprez was in residence at the Hammer from November 2007 to April 2008. During his residency, Grimonprez developed Double Take (2009), a film centered on the figure of Alfred Hitchcock, the encroaching ubiquity of television, and its role in the commodification of fear during the cold war period. In this video, Grimonprez speaks about his artistic process in making the film, and clips from Double Take (2009) give an overview of its scope.
