Ai-jen Poo, director of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, is the winner of a 2014 MacArthur Fellowship and was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World for her groundbreaking advocacy on behalf of domestic workers and home care workers. She is also the co-director of Caring Across Generations. She is the author of The Age of Dignity: Preparing for the Elder Boom in a Changing America. The son of migrant farm workers, Fernando Torres-Gil is the director of the UCLA Center for Policy Research on Aging and a professor of Social Welfare and Public Policy. His research spans important topics of health and long-term care, disability, entitlement reform, and the politics of aging. He has written several books including The New Aging: Politics and Change in America.
