John Carlin co-curated Masters of American Comics and previously curated the groundbreaking Comic Art Show in 1983 at the Whitney Museum of American Art. In 2005, he produced the documentary and the book Imaging America in collaboration with Jonathan Fineberg. Art Spiegelman won the Pulitzer Prize in 1992 for his Holocaust narrative Maus. With his wife Francoise Mouly, Spiegelman founded the acclaimed avant-garde comics magazine RAW. His book about post-9/11 New York City, In the Shadow of No Towers, was published in 2004.
