Organized by Jay Ezra Nayssan of Del Vaz Projects in collaboration with the Estate of Ana Mendieta, this screening presented a diverse selection of ten films created by the multidisciplinary artist Ana Mendieta between 1971 and 1981. Recording her performative actions, Silueta Series, and sculptures in the earth, these moving-image works explore landscapes across Iowa, Oaxaca, and Cuba, where Mendieta engages primordial nature in a dialogue with the human body.
