      A second-generation Korean American, Chang-Rae Lee worked as a Wall Street analyst before turning to writing full-time. His first novel, Native Speaker, won the PEN/Hemingway Award and the American Book Award. He subsequently published the critically acclaimed novels A Gesture Life and Aloft.
