Artist talk with William Christenberry, November 2006

A pioneer of American color photography, William Christenberry has plumbed regional identity of the American South since the early 1960s. Beginningin 1968, Christenberry returned annually to photograph distinctive locations of his native Hale County, Alabama. These works were published for the first time in a self-titled collection in April 2006.
