Ben Ehrenreich reads from his debut novel, The Suitors, which loosely follows the story of Homer's The Odyssey. Ehrenreich's work has been published in The Believer, the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, and The Village Voice, and his fiction has been included in numerous anthologies.
Daniel Alarcon is the associate editor of the Lima-based magazine Etiqueta Negro. He reads from his debut book, War by Candlelight, a collection of fictional stories creating a devastating portrait of the fault lines that divide nations and people. Alarcon is a distinguished visiting writer at Mills College in Oakland, California. His fiction has been published in The New Yorker, Harper's, and Best American Nonrequired Reading.
