An interdisciplinary artist working between Los Angeles and New York, Vishal Jugdeo uses video, installation, performance, and sculpture to construct experimental approaches to narrative. His solo exhibitions include ICA Philadelphia, LAXART in Los Angeles, Western Front in Vancouver, and 18th Street Arts Center in Santa Monica. Jugdeo's commissioned works have been presented at MOCA Los Angeles, Performa in New York, the Hammer's inaugural Made in L.A. biennial, and the California Biennial at the Orange County Museum of Art. He is a Guggenheim Fellow and an assistant professor of art at UCLA.
