Sep 24, 2020

Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg had a profound impact on American law and life. Her early work as an advocate for gender equality and later her opinions on the Supreme Court changed the shape and face of our country. This Hammer Forum considers some of the late Justice's most significant contributions to our society as well as the battle over her vacant Supreme Court seat. Will the GOP succeed in replacing Ginsburg before the election? What would it mean to expand the Supreme Court? The future of the Supreme Court is one of the most pressing issues leading up to the November 2020 election.

Loyola Law School professor Jessica Levinson moderates this panel including former US Senator from California Barbara Boxer, Pulitzer Prize–winning Supreme Court reporter Linda Greenhouse, and journalist Kimberly Atkins, MSNBC contributor and senior opinion writer at the Boston Globe.
