For the multimedia installation Manifestos (2008), ]artist Charles Gaines translated the language of four political manifestos into musical scores accompanied by video. In conjunction with the 2011 Hammer exhibition All of this and nothing, composer-arranger Sean Griffin conducted a six-piece ensemble for the first live performance of Gaines's work, which is part of the Hammer Contemporary Collection. Gaines discusses the installation with the Hammer's Aram Moshayedi, Robert Soros Curator.
