Matt Tyrnauer discusses film "Citizen Jane"

Jul 12, 2017

Matt Tyrnauer discusses the film Citizen Jane celebrating the work of urbanist Jane Jacobs, who famously said, "Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody." In three suspenseful acts, Citizen Jane highlights the war between Robert Moses, the mid-20th-century "master builder" of the New York metropolitan area, and activist Jacobs over the fate of New York City, showing how two opposing visions of city planning continue to ripple across the world stage.
