As the crisis in Ukraine continues, we explore the limits of diplomacy in dealing with an assertive Russia. Nina Khrushcheva is the granddaughter of Nikita Khrushchev, the Soviet leader who gave Crimea to Ukraine in 1954. Khrushcheva is a professor in the Graduate Program of International Affairs at the New School and author of The Lost Khrushchev: A Journey into the Gulag of the Russian Mind. Robert English is a professor of international relations at USC who studies Russia, the former U.S.S.R., and Eastern Europe. He is a former policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense and the Committee for National Security. Moderated by Ian Masters, journalist, author, screenwriter, documentary filmmaker, and radio host.
