Richard Anderson, professor of political science, is an expert on Russian and Soviet politics and foreign policy. He is the co-author of Post-Communism and the Theory of Democracy, which deals with post-Soviet politics. The granddaughter of a Soviet leader discusses the cold peace that has frozen the promise of warmer relations between the former cold war adversaries. Nina L. Khrushcheva is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program of International Affairs at The New School and senior fellow of the World Policy Institute. She is the author of Imagining Nabokov: Russia between Art and Politics (2007) and The Lost Khrushchev: A Journey Into the Gulag of the Russian Mind (2014).
